Last year, Paul Rodriguez surprised all of skateboarding when he quit Plan B, his long-time board sponsor. His departure was abrupt, and in the months that ensued, people inside and outside the industry were left to speculate, “Where was P-Rod going?”

As it turned out, not far. Almost a year after he tendered his resignation to Plan B, Paul announced that Primitive, the clothing store-turned-brand he co-founded in 2008, would begin producing boards. The following day, the fledgling company released a promo showcasing exactly what the new company and its team were all about.

There’s still a lot to come, but now that Primitive Skateboarding’s boards and shirts are out, we thought we would take stock of everything you need to know about brand. These are the essential facts.
