‘1,600 Pandas’ Art Project Reveals Shocking Facts About Species’ Population

The '1600 Pandas' tour recently made a stop in Hong-Kong, bringing the reality of the panda population into a shocking new light. The art project — which occupied the Hong Kong International Airport and the giant Tian Tan Buddha among 10 other landmarks — is a collaboration between French artist Paulo Grangeon, WWF, PMQ and creative studio allrightsreserved. The real shocker is what each panda figure represents; the total amount is the exact population of the living pandas on Earth. Check out designboom for more on this eye-opening project.
