$60 Banksy Central Park Stencils Estimated to Sell for $200,000

One of the standout projects during Banksy's “Better Out Than In” residency in New York was his anonymous Central Park art sale — which surprisingly went overlooked for the most part. The original price for one piece came at $60, but only a few were sold since visitors were clueless that the art pieces were Banksy originals. Now, two of the stencils, “Kids on Guns” and “Winnie the Pooh,” will soon be auctioned off by British auctioneers Bonhams. Both artworks are set to sell at astronomically high mark-up values, with “Winnie the Pooh” estimated at $51,000 to $85,000 and a $85,000 to $120,000 price range for “Kids on Guns.” The auction for both 45.5 by 45.5 cm stencil drawings will take place on July 2 in London.
