Barbie Doll Wave by Annette Thas

In celebration of this year's annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition, Belgian artist Annette Thas created a giant wave on the beach in Australia constructed from Barbie dolls. The artist collected over 3,000 Barbies from thrift and second-hand stores to weave together for the sculpture. The free standing Barbie doll wave sculpture is over 12 feet wide, and was inspired by her memories of childhood.
