Elaborate Dreamscape Photos by JeeYoung Lee

Resourceful Korean artist JeeYoung Lee used her imagination to transform her small studio space in Seoul into surreal and ethereal sets for her photographs. Her work depicts moments in her personal life in addition to Korean fables that are created using a variety of handmade props, suspended objects, and unique lighting to make the space appear larger than it actually is at 11.8 by 13.5 by 7.8 feet. Each dreamlike setting takes her weeks or months to make, which would take considerably less time if she digitally manipulated her photos, but she doesn’t believe in Photoshop. In each photo, you’ll find the artist herself whether in plain view or only partially visible.
