Giant Zipper Installations by Jun Kitagawa

Japanese artist Jun Kitagawa has been installing an ongoing series of giant 2D and 3D zippers in public spaces around Japan. The zippers can be found on buildings, walls, or in public bodies of water, which reveal what is beneath the surface by through their unzipped openings. Kitagawa began his career as a public artist when he had an inventory of T-shirts that he was unable to sell and ended up dressing statues around his town in them.
