The World’s Longest Continuous Wooden Sculpture by Zheng Chunhui

Chinese artist Zheng Chunhui has made it into the Guinness Book of World Records after four long years of work with his approximately 40-foot long wooden sculpture carved from one single log, the longest continuous wooden sculpture in the world. The carving is based on a famous Chinese painting entitled “Along the River During the Quingming Festival” and features intricate details like houses, trees and animals. The piece is currently on display in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, but if you can’t make it out there, you can check out some images of the amazing piece of art in our gallery.
