Coachella Style Profile: Fuse Top 20’s Esteban Serrano

We’re live in Indio, and working double time to bring you the latest happening in and around the Coachella festival. Right now, we’re set up at the Fuse/VEVO House at Coachella, and things are already looking fresh in the style department. Learn a few things on dressing for the occasion from Fuse Top 20 Countdown host Esteban Serrano as he breaks down his festival kit.

By the look of your style, we’re guessing this isn’t your first time at Coachella.
This is my third time at Coachella, and I love it. It’s one of my favorite things to do. The music, weather, and scenery are all amazing. It’s definitely a great escape from the crazy cold New York. The festival gets you right in the mood for spring.

From the words of an OG, break down your fit for us.
First of all, Coachella is probably the flyest festival in terms of fashion. A lot of magazines cover this festival exclusively from a fashion aspect. I think the weather and setting calls for you to bring your A-game and stand out.

Personally, I like to have a lot of loud colors. One thing you have to keep in mind though is that you’re in a hot desert, but it does cool off at night. The key to balancing that out is layering.

It’s all about comfortable sneakers for me — like the Chuck Taylors I have on right now. It’s a little dusty and dirty out here, so you don’t want to wear anything “over-fly,” so you can’t go wrong with a pair of Chucks. The more you beat them up, the better they look.

I got to roll up the pants to let the wind hit my ankles, but if it gets cold I can unroll them easy. I brought along a jacket as well in case it gets too cold. The sun is bananas out here, so you definitely need sunglasses too — just to be able to see!
