When embroidery artist Hiroko Kubota’s son requested to have shirts made with cats on them, she got to work making a series of amazing buttondowns. Her son collected a number of cute cat images from the Internet to provide his mom with inspiration. Kubota stitched the cats popping out of the shirts’ pockets and other openings, and after posting some photos online of her work, there became a high demand for her cat shirts. She now has an Etsy store called Go!Go!5 where you can purchase her embroidered cat shirts for $250 to $300 each. If you’re not into cats, she embroiders fish, Pokemon characters, dogs and flowers as well.
