W Union Square Celebrates “Stay and Surf” Initiative With Special Charity Surfboard

The W Union Square is inviting their guests to "stay & surf" at NYC's Rockaway Beach this summer. The Union Square branch of the popular hotel chain partnered with Locals Surf School — created by Rockaway Beach residents Michael Reinhardt and Michael Kololyan — to create the ultimate package for a perfect summer day. Complete with personalized surf lessons, a tour of the best eateries in the area, and even a summer playlist for your ride out there, this is definitely worth checking out of you're looking for a memorable experience this season.

Here's what the Stay & Surf package will include:

— A weekend stay in one of W Union Square's Spectacular rooms
— A personal surf lesson from Locals Surf School
— Car service to/from Rockaway Beach
— W branded beach tote bag featuring AMAzon Coconut Water and map of Rockaway Beach hotspots
— Post-surf lunch and cocktails at Rockaway Beach Surf Club
— Summer playlist curated by W Insider
— 10% donation to Graybeards

The partnership is being commemorated with a Loomstate-designed surfboard (seen above) that will be on display at the hotel. The board will eventually be auctioned off at the end of the summer season, with 100% of proceeds being donated to Graybeards' initiative to help the Rockaways recover from Hurricane Sandy damages.
